Thomas Chambers Hine

Thomas Chambers Hine (31 de mayo de 1813 – 6 de febrero de 1899) fue un arquitecto radicado en Nottingham . ^{[ 1 ]}

Nació en Covent Garden en el seno de una próspera familia de clase media, hijo mayor de Jonathan Hine (1780–1862), fabricante de calcetería, y Melicent Chambers (1778–1845). ^{[ 2 ]} Fue aprendiz del arquitecto londinense Matthew Habershon hasta 1834.

En 1837 llegó a Nottingham y se asoció con el constructor William Patterson. Esta relación comercial se disolvió en 1849. Trabajó desde 1857 ^{[ 3 ]} con Robert Evans JP hasta principios de 1867 y posteriormente con su hijo George Thomas Hine hasta su jubilación alrededor de 1890.

Fue nominado como miembro del Real Instituto de Arquitectos Británicos en 1878, pero esto parece haber sido anulado. ^{[ 4 ]}

Se casó con Mary Betts (1813-1893) en 1837 y juntos tuvieron siete hijos que llegaron a la edad adulta. Su hija mayor, Mary Melicent Hine (1838-1928), se convirtió en enfermera y fundó el Hospital Infantil de Nottingham en Postern Street, en Nottingham.
