Celia Chazelle

Celia Martin Chazelle (nacida el 7 de abril de 1954) es una historiadora y escritora canadiense. Es profesora de historia en The College of New Jersey .

Primeros años y educación

Celia Martin nació en California el 7 de abril de 1954, ^[¹^] hija de un padre inglés, John Martin, quien tuvo pequeños papeles en películas y enseñó Literatura Inglesa en la Universidad de Calgary . Su madre, Constance, nació en Calgary . Su abuelo fue gerente de Paramount Pictures en Londres durante la época del cine mudo. ^[²^] Chazelle tiene dos hermanos menores. ^[³^]

Chazelle se licenció en Historia por la Universidad de Toronto en 1977. Carrera

En 2008, Chazelle comenzó a impartir cursos sobre justicia social e historia penitenciaria en el Centro Correccional Juvenil Albert C. Wagner , a través del Programa de Asistencia a Prisioneros Petey Greene. Posteriormente, impartió cursos conjuntos con The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). ^{[ 6 ]} Es profesora de historia en TCNJ y fue jefa de departamento allí de 2008 a 2014. ^{[ 4 ]}^{[ 7 ]} En 2019, Brill Academic Publishing publicó su monografía, The Codex Amiatinus and Its Sister Bibles: Scripture, Liturgy, and Art in the Milieu of the Venerable Bede . Vida personal

Chazelle is married to French computer scientist Bernard Chazelle. They have two children, Damien and Anna.^[3]
